TechShield Auto Terms & Conditions
1. Service
TechShield Auto is a workshop-management software service provided by TechShieldIT LLC. Available features depend on the subscription plan, enabled modules, user permissions and location access assigned to the account.
2. Subscription plans, pricing and taxes
Subscription prices displayed on the TechShield Auto website are monthly software-subscription prices before applicable taxes. Taxes may be added based on the billing address and applicable jurisdiction. Current public monthly pricing shown at signup is: Basic with a TechShieldIT-provided Verifone program, $69.99; Basic without a TechShieldIT-provided Verifone, $89.99; Premium with a TechShieldIT-provided Verifone program, $99.99; and Premium without a TechShieldIT-provided Verifone, $129.99. All prices are before applicable taxes. Multi-location controls remain part of the platform, but new multi-location activations are temporarily unavailable. If the add-on is re-enabled for new subscriptions, availability and any applicable pricing will be disclosed before activation. Hardware, terminal services, messaging usage, custom integrations and data migration may be priced separately when applicable.
If the workshop uses its own Verifone or other merchant terminal, the workshop's existing merchant-processor agreement determines the actual processing cost. Depending on that agreement, charges may include a percentage of each transaction, a fixed per-transaction fee, chargeback fees, PCI or non-compliance fees, terminal rental/service fees, connectivity charges, or other processor fees. TechShield Auto does not set those third-party rates and the subscription price does not imply any particular processing percentage. If TechShieldIT provides the Verifone terminal, TechShieldIT charges a $0.50 fee for each transaction processed through that TechShieldIT-provided terminal. This $0.50 transaction fee is separate from the TechShield Auto software subscription and does not replace or include any processor, interchange, assessment, chargeback, PCI, connectivity, terminal-service, tax or other third-party charge that may also apply. Any additional processing or integration charges will be disclosed in writing before activation.
3. Account activation and billing
The public signup form is an onboarding request and does not collect payment. Account activation, billing start date and any additional commercial setup terms are confirmed during onboarding. Plan access may be changed according to the subscribed plan.
4. Authorized use and account responsibility
The subscribing workshop is responsible for authorized staff access, accurate business information, appropriate role/location assignments, and lawful use of customer and vehicle data entered into the system. Login credentials and access links must not be shared with unauthorized persons.
5. Customer communications and third-party services
Some features depend on third-party providers, including payment terminals, email/SMS delivery or other integrations. If a workshop already has a Verifone or another external payment terminal, TechShield Auto may be configured to record payments processed on that terminal and store a related reference in the system. TechShield Auto does not replace the workshop's merchant account, card-processing agreement or terminal provider. The merchant processor remains responsible for authorization, settlement and the processing charges under the workshop's agreement. Verifone hardware, terminal service, connectivity, support and any direct terminal integration are not included unless separately agreed and configured. A module described as provider-ready does not mean message delivery or third-party service fees are included unless that provider has been connected and activated.
6. Data, cancellation and retention
Workshop data remains associated with the subscribed workspace. When a subscription is cancelled, TechShield Auto currently applies a 90-day retention period before the data becomes eligible for deletion, subject to contractual, operational or legal retention requirements. Cancelling stops future renewal according to the applicable subscription terms; it does not mean data is deleted immediately.
7. Availability and product changes
TechShieldIT LLC may maintain, update or improve TechShield Auto over time. Features can evolve as the service changes, but plan descriptions shown at signup are intended to identify the functionality available under the selected plan at that time.
8. Workshop records and legal compliance
The workshop remains responsible for the legal sufficiency of its own repair authorizations, estimates, disclosures, invoices, customer notices and recordkeeping requirements. TechShield Auto provides software tools to capture and organize these records but does not replace professional legal or accounting advice.
9. Acceptance record
When you submit the signup form, TechShield Auto records the accepted terms version together with the acceptance date/time and request audit information such as IP address and browser user agent. This record is used to document consent to the version accepted during signup.
